Chef Joshua Brown is a native of Natick, MA and brings over 20 years cooking experience to the Prezo Grille & Bar. Having attended the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, he has worked in numerous kitchens from Boston to Newport Rhode Island including Michael Schlow’s Alta Strada, Todd English’s Figs, and most recently at the helm of The Barking Crab in Boston and Newport where he was the Culinary Director and Executive Chef of both restaurants. Focused on local and sustainable ingredients, Chef Brown was awarded a top 10 best clam chowders in the country by USA Today and won the 2015 Rhode Island Chowder Cook Off. Prior to his Boston experience, Chef Brown was the long tenured Sous Chef under chefs Tony Bettencourt and Justin Melnick at Tomasso in Southborough where he worked his way up from line cook to Executive Chef.
