Alina Eisenhauer opened her first bakery, Sturbridge Baking Company, in 2003 and
grew her menu from breads & cookies to a full bakery and café serving breakfast and lunch. Though pleased with her success, Alina’s competitive nature eventually inspired her to move her business to Worcester in 2008. Renamed Sweet Kitchen & Bar and located on Worcester’s “Restaurant Row” the new business was a full service restaurant and bar with an in-house bakery.

Having grown up in the Berkshires, Alina has always been focused on farm to table
cooking, sustainability and making her businesses a part of the local community.

While Sweet was a hit with everyone from local college students to foodies, Alina
continued to set her heights higher. She earned dozens of accolades for her
mouth-watering creations including recognitions from Tripping.com, Yankee
Magazine, Worcester Magazine, and Phantom Gourmet. However, she wanted to
test her skills further. Alina was cast and competed on several Food Network shows
including Chopped, Cupcake Wars, Beat Bobby Flay, Re-Wrapped and Sweet
Genius. Alina was one of 75 chefs chosen from around the world to be featured in the book, Eat Ink.  She has been featured in Where Women Cook, Foodservice Northeast, Dessert Professional, Flavor & The Menu and Baking & Pastry North America, and has been invited to cook at the James Beard Foundation twice, presenting dinners there in both 2010 and 2014.

In July of 2017, Alina closed Sweet Kitchen & Bar to pursue consulting opportunities
in the food industry that would allow her to use her knowledge and experience
while also allowing for her to have more time to spend with her family.

Chef Eisenhauer is currently working with The International in Bolton on an exciting new project to revamp their entire culinary program to a sustainable farm to table model including a complete relaunch of their signature restaurant The Fireplace Room which is slated to open March 2018.
